Search Engine Optimization

You want customers, clients, patients to  your place of business.  The best looking webpage will only bring them in, if they see it.  SEO is the process of using technology to bring your site to the attention of the Search Engines, and getting your page to display as a search result. Without Search Optimization, your beautiful site will not see the web traffic that will eventually convert to customers, because your competitors will be displaying first in the Search listings… not you.

SEO relies on one thing.. only one… Relevance!

Google wants to show the person searching, whatever is most relevant to their search.

Sounds too incredibly simple?  Well it is.   There is no secret magic to  “Game Google” with all kinds of what are called Gray Hat, or Black Hat tricks.  Stuff that tricks Google into thinking a site is more relevant than it actually is.  Because people try to cheat, Google makes it harder and harder to cheat.  Doing this, they sometimes wipe out entire listings, and folks need to start all over again.

On the other hand, we learned our SEO methodology back in the old days.  We use White Hat methodologies that scream to Google that we are legitimate.  None of the red flags, the danger signs, that Google looks for to determine cheaters are anywhere on our site.

There’s 2 types of SEO.  On Page and Off Page.

On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is often overlooked by website owners and developers but it is a vital part of the optimization process. Optimizing your site means that it’s easy for search engine crawlers to pick up your site and rank it for the appropriate keywords. With our SEO service we do a complete analysis of your site and look at all the factors such as domain name, headings, titles, alt text, meta tags and keyword density. By making sure your site is optimized in this way it makes it much easier for search engines to find your site. Off-Page SEO

Off-site SEO, as the name suggests, is any form of promotion or mention of your site, that comes from other sites. This can be through link-building or via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Off-site SEO has changed a great deal in the last couple of years and requires a much more careful and thought-out approach to get it right. Some companies will simply build as many back-links as possible to a site in the hopes of ranking it. This may have worked at one time, it is no longer relevant in 2012 and may in fact harm your site.
